Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF), the Dubai Government entity mandated to supervise Awqaf and the well-being of minors who have lost one or both parents, will showcase the significant humanitarian achievements of the United Arab Emirates as part of its impactful participation at the fourth Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE 2016).
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, DIGAE 2016 will run from April 11 to 13 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The exhibition is anticipated to draw the participation of more than 20 government departments from Dubai and UAE federal government.
International governmental entities will also share key insights at DIGAE 2016. To date, government delegates from New York (the United States), Brussels (Belgium), Paris (France), Santander (Spain), Graz (Austria), Copenhagen (Denmark), and the Tokyo Innovation Network (Japan) have confirmed participation at DIGAE 2016.
For its part, AMAF will highlight key initiatives and projects, as well as its most impactful services related to the development of endowment funds, rehabilitation and welfare of minors.
The salma Humanitarian Relief program, the global initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will take center-stage at the AMAF pavilion. AMAF will share key highlights and achievements of the first phase of the program that was launched in July 2014 seeking to provide one million Halal meals to victims of wars and natural disasters around the world.
The Family Village that was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2015 will also be spotlighted at DIGAE 2016. A first-of-its-kind ‘village’ in the region, the project accommodates nearly 100 orphans and caters to their various needs such as shelter, education, food, health and psychological care.
The Family Village provides a stable and balanced family atmosphere that fulfills basic and essential requirements of the orphans.

Al-Rais added that the participation will enable government entities, from within and outside the UAE, to stay up-to-date and gain insights on newest experiences and best practices in the field of government services. The cutting-edge services highlight the leading role played by the emirate of Dubai and the UAE as a whole, in developing innovative initiatives and global benchmarks.
