The Awqaf & Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai organized an art exhibition for its minor children, through which they sent a thank-you and appreciation letter to the first line of defense of doctors, nursing staff and health personnel for their role in protecting the community from the consequences of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The exhibition, entitled "The feather of an artist, thanks to our first line of defense", was held at the Public Library in Al Safa area affiliated to Dubai Culture and the Arts Authority to showcase the creations of the minor children sponsored by the Foundation.
The opening was attended by H.E. Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Director-General of Dubai Health Authority, H.E. Essa Al Ghurair, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Waqf & Minors Affairs Foundation, H.E. Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Waqf & Minors Affairs Foundation, and H.E. Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture Authority.
His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, expressed his thanks and great appreciation to the Waqf & Minor Affairs Foundation in Dubai for its great role in serving the community and making people happy, noting that the Foundation has provided a model of civilization to be followed in joining forces with the Dubai Health Authority, from the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic and during Pandemic until today.
His Excellency said that the Foundation's initiative of (The Feather of an Artist) Exhibition executed to showcase artistic paintings, as well as the letters of thanks sent by children and minors to our first line of defense shows the real value of the Foundation, which is always keen to provide all means of care for minors, as well as to give them full opportunities to express their feelings, love and appreciation for their homeland, and for the dedicated people of the first line of defense against COVID-19.
His Excellency exalted the children who paid tribute to the first line of defense workers with artistic paintings and creative stories that record a historic stand in the face of this Pandemic facing the world. The children also were able to invest their artistic talents in purposeful creative works, of which the Dubai Health Authority is proud.
At the same time, His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the "Dubai Health" for the great role played by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, its interest and constant endeavor to discover and care for talented and creative people in various literary and artistic fields, stressing that the Authority has its status, mission and strategic directions to enhance Dubai's cultural status worldwide.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Awqaf & Minors Affairs Foundation, H.E. Essa Al Ghurair, said that the world today is exposed to the Pandemic of the new Coronavirus and doctors and nurses are in the first line of defense to protect society from the outbreak of the Pandemic, and this exhibition was organized to express gratitude and thanks to them.
His Excellency Essa Al Ghurair thanked the government departments supporting the initiative, as well as the government agencies representing the front lines of confronting the Coronavirus Pandemic, at the top of which is the Ministry of Health, the health, ambulance and the police authorities.
On his part, His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf & Minors Affairs Foundation, said that the exhibition aims to promote awareness among children to prevent infection with the new Coronavirus, as well as to develop their talents and showcase them in front of a broad sector of audience to motivate them to continue their way.
He explained that the Exhibition was organized at the request of our minor children and the desire of the Foundation to convey their thanks and gratitude to the heroes through the paintings and art forms they painted and dedicated to the first line.
He continued: The Exhibition is one of the Foundation's initiatives to develop the talents of minors in the fields of art, literature, sculpture, plastic art and photography.
