Judge Specializes in AWQAF Foundation

"Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation" in Dubai has recently disclosed that number of applications and lawsuits being perused before jurisdiction during the past period, reaching about 22 applications, out of them about 10 applications regarding the dues and debts, while the number of rental lawsuits have reached around 12 lawsuits being perused before Dubai courts.

Mr. Tayyeb Al-Rayyes, secretary general of AMAF, "Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation", has mentioned to "Al-Bayan" Newspaper that the Foundation is currently effectuating cooperation and coordination with a number of parties and authorities concerned, such as the various judicial entities, as a sign of its keen concern in the minors' interest and rights, indicating to the fact that the Foundation works on solving all problems and performing all settlements legally and amicably, within a standard time, in avoidance of any damages and in preservation of all minors' rights and funds from loss whatsoever.

Al-Rayyes has also point out that the cases and applications are being processed inside the Foundation premises and by way of a judge specialized in a way to save time and effort of the beneficiaries due to the move into the court.

Added saying, that the new building shifted to at NAHDA region contains a private office for that judge in which he receives applications, complains and lawsuits of the minors and the beneficiaries, which will concentrate in most of them on limitations of succession, issuance of certificates, in addition to listing of endowment declaration in the near future.

Stating, also, that the foundation has joined estates and legal affairs division within the legal office which belongs directly to the secretary general, due to the keen concern of the Foundation on developing skills and capabilities of the human resources within the framework of a specified tendency in this regards.

Secretary General of AMAF has also said that the qualification and programs division at the Minors' Development Department has organized a recreational program for about 30 minors in cooperation with "ASWAQ" (Markets), with Emirates Car Association during which they have been introduced to types of classic cars an d motorbikes, in addition to holding workshops, and has also contained visits to the bakeries so as to know more about making bread, further to holding a workshop in drawing on faces.

The Foundation, however, seeks to be the excellent but distinctive entity that renders comprehensive social care to the minors but within an educational and qualification perspective, in addition to providing them with best services facilitating and overcoming any obstacles which may face minors and then meeting their needs and requirements.

He has also pointed out that the most important objectives coming out of organizing such programs shall be making the minors feel about the Foundation concern and care of them, and its interest in implementing a group of programs and activities that help them live naturally and benefit from the experiences acquired in the public life in the future.

However, such programs have been supervised by the staff of qualification and programs division and in accordance with the plan made for the operational programs of the year 2010.

"Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation" has also carried out and in cooperation with Civil Defense Department and Dubai Police the experiment of vacating and fire fighting event, illusive one, at the premises of the Foundation ,with the purpose of enhancing safety and security procedures therein, introducing the Foundation staff on how to act in the event of having any fire incident or any kind of security problem that may occur, removing thereby any doubt or horror in both the staff and the public upon hearing about the sounds of fire alarms if and when an accident may take place inside the building.

Al-Rayyes has also mentioned that in coordination with the Civil Defense Department and Dubai Police in carrying out such activities and experiments which surely will contribute in raising degree of awareness and good action during the occurrence of any accident or fire, stating that such experiments shall work on minimizing the damages coming from such incidents/

Indicated also to that the Foundation has an annual comprehensive training plan covering all training needs for all staff inside the Foundation, keeping continuously the tendency towards having its staff joining when necessary in such training courses, lectures and various seminars which in turn have them acquired skills and behaviors necessary.
