The awqaf and Minors’ Affairs Foundations organizes on the 4th of the upcoming February an international conference regarding the investment of awqaf funds, under the title of “ International Dubai Conference for waqf investments), in which a large number of world and Arab waqf foundations, in the presence of experts in awqaf, social development and Islamic economy in the world.

The secretary general of the Awqaf and Minors’ Affairs Foundation declared that the organization of the conference comes within the scope of the strategic plan of the Dubai Foundation in building partnerships and strategic alliances, and searching for practices and new innovations for the world waqf foundations in the field of awqaf investment, which enhance the potentials and the complementarities of the financial and investment thinking of the foundation with other similar waqf foundations in the world, in a way that ensures more growth and success to the foundations and agents.

He noted that the conference aims at reaching an investment strategic plan, whose elements constitute standards for the success of every modern waqf foundation.

He said that this is might be done after that the plan is approved by the waqf leaders working in the field of investment and financial development for awqaf at present times, and it is possible to reach practical shari’ formulas that suit to awqaf investments.

In addition to the agreement on investment specimens for awqaf in coordination with banks and Islamic and financial companies, the possibility of enlarging the idea of the investment of monetary awqaf and awqaf shares and their circulation among public, as well as the enlargement of the investment fields in order to reduce the risks to which the waqf investment might be exposed.

Al-Shared declared that the conference aims at setting up computerized specimens within criteria in conformity with the awqaf technical formalities, which helps make the right decision on investment, and take advantage of the experiences and practical applications related to monetary waqf investment.
