During February, Dubai is expected to host an international conference regarding the awqaf funds, under the title of: “International Dubai Conference on waqf investments”

The architect Abdul Rahman Al Shared, secretary general of the Awqaf and Minors’ Affairs Foundation declared that the three-day.

conference to be organized by the foundation, aims at finding an investment strategic plan to be approved by the waqf leaders working in the field of investment and awqaf financial development.”

He added: “the conference shall set-up the right practical shari’ formulas for the awqaf investment, and enlarge the idea of monterary awqaf investment and waqf shares, and their circulation among public”

Al-Shared noted that the conference shall also find the best formulas for awqaf funds, and the experiences of investment portfolios in the field of waqf in addition to the dimensions of investment risks in the awqaf funds, and accounting bases for the investment of awqaf funds.

He added: sessions shall study the features of modern waqf investment and real estate investment, in addition to its activation ways, the investment of shares, deeds, money and the bonds of waqf funds.

He pointed out that the conference shall be held with a wide participation from the world and Arab waqf foundations, in the presence of experts in awqaf, social development and Islamic economy in the world.
