Minor and middle projects do play vital role in providing long-term investment, and therefore the very efficient contribution in achieving economic development, and creating job opportunities for the youth. And, with the increase of financial surplus in the Arabian region, it is expected that the role of minor and middle projects will increase as a result of increase demand on investment and for the aim of realizing more and more economic promotion and developmental targets.

Until now, economic studies have not been on level of determining nature and particulars of minor and middle projects in the booming economic sectors in the Arabian region. Henceforth, the best strategies the endowments (AWQAF) foundations may depend on in utilizing and employing part of their assets in the minor and middle projects.

Based on this, Awqaf & Minors' Affairs Foundation at Dubai Government organizes, in cooperation with the Economic and Social Committee for Western Asia (ESCWA) in the United Nations, an international conference entitled:

"Dubai International Conference on Innovative Sources to Finance Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises"

which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with participation of lots of endowment and charity foundations, both Arabian and international, as well as experts in fields of economics and institutional work during 2010.
