Secretary General Message   


Since the "human being" is the core of the leadership concern which is always based on the construction of the state and the community and in seek to enhance and develop its capabilities, the United Arab Emirates extends all efforts persistently for the aim of realizing the requirements of stability, development and care to cover and include all community sectors and constituents, which in turn would minimize the severity of challenges, perils, and difficulties during the stages of human being promotion and development since childhood. This methodology, however, in our dear country complies with the original values prevail in our community which in turn reflected the true vision of the sublime leadership in extending hands of help to all country citizens.

From this idea, the decree of establishing the "Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation" in Dubai in the year 2004 during the reign of Late HH Shaikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, and hence with the expansion of the Foundation affairs, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai issued the Law No. 9 of the year 2007 in regards of organizing the affairs of the Foundation, represented in our own vision: "Qualified Minor and Growing Endowment". Our mission is: "Through a contemporary Islamic Perspective, we work on developing the endowment, caring, qualifying and empowering every minor".

The Foundation, however, aims through its work done on embodying the minors, caring of their funds, investing them well and in caring of them socially, as well as their qualification and empowerment so as to help effectively in developing the endowment through a contemporary Islamic Perspective, by and through urging and encouraging those doers of charity, on reviving and enriching this very positive alms, with the intensive eye on enhancing the concept of social solidarity which in turn will ensure relatedness amongst all community individuals, create the mercy and likeness amongst them. And, here appears the role of endowment which is actually considered a long-term charitable investment that extends to consecutive generations, and will develop the human resources as well as the financial resources, and will also merge all financial and economic powers in the community through endowment attraction processes. We do praise to Almighty, Allah, that this work will be in favor of your good deeds and may Allah bless you for the good of the nation.
